About This Project

The biggest win yet for the oldest rugby club in the Forest of Dean!

Planning permission for a new low energy passivhaus clubhouse for Bream RFC has been granted after a long uphill struggle for Passiframe, the rugby club trustees and a team of specialist advisors. From design concept and public consultation to planning submission this has been an exciting project for Passiframe with a fantastic end result.

The resultant carbon emissions of the proposed clubhouse and running costs will be less than that of the average UK residential dwelling. We have included a large PV array on the roof of the clubhouse to ensure low running costs plus a carbon negative output in terms of energy use.

Along with permission for a new clubhouse the trustees have also been given the go ahead for 8 passive house semi-detached dwellings. This flagship zero carbon development opportunity will raise the necessary funds for the construction of the clubhouse.  Further information can be found here.
